1. Provide a Structured Atmosphere: Gen X workers could well be the most protected technology of children ever elevated. Parents, sometimes called "Helicopter Mother and father, " have hovered over them from birth. Organizational leaders should have a clue from this fact and create definitive guidelines regarding work responsibilities. Tell workers what you expect and what parameters guide their work practices. Their strong ability to network and willingness to be connected 24/7 is a real strong suit they bring towards the table. Use teams and a person win. Isolate workers and the productivity and profits proceed south.

4. Value Their Ideas as well as Opinions. Millennials want meaningful function. They are goal oriented and desire to contribute. They believe in themselves and desire to be heard. Involve them in decision making. Give credit and encouragement once they make contributions. Valuing their contribution is actually visionary leadership. Ignoring the good they could bring to the business is leadership gone blind.

5. Use Multi-tasking. In childhood, Gen X workers observed TV, talked on the telephone and did their homework all concurrently. Undertaking multiple tasks is commonplace and doesn't faze them. They have lead the high-tech lifestyle. Listen to their input about this matter and you've energized and utilized these phones the max.

7. Provide Leadership and Advice. One of the downsides of the generation is that they don't really want to lead. They want strong leadership but it's not a job they need to pursue. That provides a challenge for the management team because it really is their job to produce new leaders. By encouragement, utilization of their skills and desire to do a good work, good leaders can change thinking and discover those few who are willing to undertake the responsibilities of leading others.
